Earl Weaver always seemed to keep his O’s in contention, finally breaking through and winning a World Series in 1970. Weaver is the subject of this 1978 Earl Weaver Game-Worn Alternate Jersey. The Wilson size 40 orange #4 shirt is home to a “Orioles #4” in black-on-white twill. On the reverse, “WEAVER 4” is sewn on in like fashion and the front is home to a (“7-8”) potency penning. Into the left tail is sewn a “78 1” manufacturer’s tag. Additionally, black-on-white piping lines both the neck and the sleeves. The patented cigarette pocket is stitched into the interior left breast, under the "#4". Phil Wood LOA for game use, Auction LOA for signature.
