Detailed description on our website.
Individual examples of Topps 1964 Baseball Tattoo series are known to be relatively scarce and somewhat pricey. An uncut sheet of these colorful transfers positions as an unearthly treasure deeply secreted somewhere in the x-files. Go to the outer limits of collecting rarity with this fabulous uncut sheet of (32) all different Topps 1964 Tattoos. Issued as a separate product, this offbeat mid-‘60s series is reported with a roster of fifty-five players and twenty team mascots, making this dynamic sheet the equivalent of a little better than 40% of the set total of seventy-five.
Professionally framed and matted to approximately 19x19, this rare sheet has a visible area of 14x14. Showing vertical and horizontal fold lines and wrinkles at the center of the white field area that do not affect the color art images, this clean and glossy sheet presents admirably with vivid images and bold colors. While the nicely coordinated blue frame shows light wear, it remains both pleasing and serviceable.
Depicted images are HOFers Willie Mays, Sandy Koufax, Al Kaline, Joe Torre, Harmon Killebrew, Eddie Mathews, Orlando Cepeda, Warren Spahn and Carl Yasztremski; fan favorites Rocky Colavito, Frank Howard, Johnny Callison, Bill Freehan, Norm Cash, Curt Flood and Dick Groat, Lee Thomas, Wayne Causey, Woody Held, Johnny Romano, Norm Siebern, Ray Culp and Larry Jackson; and team mascots Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Indians.
