Description

Tony Gwynn was as professional a hitter as you could find anywhere, with 19 consecutive .300 seasons, second only to Ty Cobb's 23. The only season he did not hit .300 was his rookie season, when he played in only 50 or so games. He still hit .289. Gwynn is the centerpiece of this interesting pair of enormous bus advertising posters. Measuring 72x22", the thick-stock on-site local advertising specimens do feature moderate wear due to exposure to the elements during their usage on local San Diego bus routes. The signs feature Gwynn's face and a San Diego Padres logo on the far left side opposite the face of a local sports update newscaster on the far right and a station logo. This intriguing offering is surely one of a kind and is a solid addition to the personal inventory of any Padres or baseball oddball enthusiast.
