Tony Gwynn (d.2014) may have been the greatest hitter of his generation and was a master of going the other way and hitting line drives through holes in the infield. Gwynn is the subject of this memorabilia trio with a bat, jersey & ball. Includes: 1) Tony Gwynn signed (“7-8”) San Diego Padres Russell Athletic game jersey (not used, Gwynn Sports COA); 2) Tony Gwynn signed (“9”) & game-used Louisville Slugger B267 signature model bat with moderate to heavy game use including dirt/cleat marks, ball impact marks and a thick layer of pine tar just to the left of the center brand. The handle has been taped with blue medicine tape for grip and features a #2922 inscription on the barrel, insinuating that this could be the bat that was used to gather his career hit #2922. The knob has specifications "B267 33-3.5 19" written on it and the cup shaped end also has “B267 19” and 3) Tony Gwynn signed/game-used (“8”) ONL Coleman (EX condition) from hit #2951 (Gwynn Sports COA).
