Description

Media favorite Mickey Mantle lent his name to a vast number of product endorsements and this captivating 1960s coffee can is certainly one of the more colorful items in the
Mantleverse. Obviously designed with as a keepsake, this whopping 3lb. tin features a brightly colored “Youth League” wrap-around baseball scene, which reports in remarkably well-preserved state with full paint and excellent gloss. Topped with the original plastic lid, this 7” high, 6” diameter tin is encircled with a paper label featuring three similar advertisement panels touting a Mickey Mantle glove and “Official Little League” ball offer. This approximately fifty-year old label is stunning with bold colors over wood fence background and shows only minor signs of wear including a couple of unobtrusive abrasions and a few small spots of paper loss on the top edge that have minimal impact on this item’s broad display appeal.
