Justin Verlander’s 2007 season can only be described as amazing. A no-hitter and an 18-6 record were just some of the highlights for the young hurler, who followed up a 2006 Rookie of the Year performance with a stellar sophomore campaign. Verlander is the subject of this 2007 Detroit Tigers Game-Used Away Jersey. Featuring light to moderate wear, the jersey has “DETROIT 35” sewn on front in white-on-blue-on-orange twill in the same fashion as “VERLANDER 35” is sewn on reverse. The Majestic Authentic size 48 jersey has a wonderful white block pattern on the left tail with black numbers sewn on including “35”, “48” and “07”, indicating jersey number, size and year for manufacturing purposes. A must-have for baseball game-used jersey collectors, this item has a reserve (estimated value $1000-$2500).
“JSG” is written on the Majestic tag in black marker, which are the initials/markings of Tigers Clubhouse Manager, Jim Schmakel, making it consistent with Verlander gamers.
