A native of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Alejandro Pena was a solid relief pitcher from 1981-1996 who played for eight teams and was a member of two World Series winning teams (1988 Dodgers and 1995 Braves). Pena is the wearer and endorser of this pair of signed & game used jerseys that both feature moderate game use including dirt marks & general wear. Includes: 1) Alejandro Pena Game-Used 1990 New York Mets home jersey with “METS 26” sewn onto the left breast in orange-on-blue twill in the same fashion as “PENA 26” on the reverse. The Rawlings size 44 shirt features orange and blue piping across the shoulders. Pena has signed underneath the “26” on the reverse with a (“8”) potency penning and the inscription Game Worn. The left inside tail is home to the manufacturer’s tag, underneath which “90 26” is stitched in blue, indicating the set and year number of the game-used accessory and 2) Alejandro Pena Game-Used 1994 Pirates home jersey with “PIRATES 34” sewn onto the left breast in yellow-on-black twill in the same fashion as “PENA 34” on the reverse. The jersey is a Rawlings size 44 specimen with a “SET 1 1994” gamer tag on the left inside tail. On the front underneath the “34”, Pena has signed (“8” strength) and inscribed Game Worn. Payment must, however, be made within two weeks from the end of the auction.
