Detailed description on our website.

From the realm of the rare and unusual comes this fascinating 19th Century scholastic award. This unique antique is titled at top with “Reward of Merit” above an ornately designed early baseball scene of boys at play. This elegant rendering is printed on heavy stock, with approximate dimensions of 6-1/2 x 3”. Hand dated "
Oct. 1871” in pencil at bottom right, this inspiring piece of ephemera was produced by N. Orr-Co.” and is filled out on the presented to and by teacher lines with student “Alma Ette Watson” and teacher “Adele J. Little”. The exciting baseball and peripheral graphics remain sharp and the surface is fairly clean, earning an (EX) rating for this award card, with deference to album adhesive/paper residue on the otherwise blank reverse.
